Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels and goods promptly and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and strong communication to ensure customer satisfaction. The Courier will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our delivery services, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Duties

  • Collect parcels from the depot.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations.
  • Deliver packages to, and collect packages from, customers' premises in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Obtain proof of delivery as required, maintaining full parcel traceability.
  • Assist with loading and unloading parcels, including heavy lifting where necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with our client and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organised vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling parcels or goods.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
  • Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: ÂŁ600.00-ÂŁ800.00 per week
