As we expand our engineering presence in the UAE, we’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Forward deployed) to play a foundational role in shaping and delivering regional technology initiatives. This is a high-impact position focused on building and operating reliable systems that support our UAE growth, working across infrastructure, integrations, and product delivery.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys broad ownership, hands-on technical work, and the opportunity to influence how engineering operates in a growing regional environment.

What You’ll Work On

  • You’ll work across a diverse engineering scope, including:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining backend services and new product features
  • Contribute to frontend development to build and improve user-facing features in collaboration with product and design teams.
  • Managing and improving AWS infrastructure to support scalable and reliable systems
  • Building and maintaining integrations with CX platforms and third-party services
  • Implementing and managing SMS and email communication systems
  • Automating operational workflows and improving deployment pipelines
  • Monitoring system performance and responding to production incidents
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver regional solutions
  • Partner with UAE clients and internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements and design practical, scalable solutions that address real business needs.
  • Contributing to engineering standards, documentation, and best practices

This role blends software engineering, infrastructure ownership, and systems integration, with a strong focus on delivering dependable customer-facing technology.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within the first 30 - 60 days, you’ve taken ownership of key UAE systems (AWS, integrations, messaging) and can ship changes confidently end-to-end.
  • UAE integrations with internal platforms and third-party services are stable, well-documented, and observable (logging, alerts, and monitoring in place).
  • SMS and email delivery are reliable, measurable, and easy to troubleshoot with clear visibility into performance.
  • New features are shipped regularly across backend and frontend with strong quality standards.
  • Automation improves operational efficiency and reduces manual engineering work.
  • You communicate technical decisions clearly and collaborate effectively with internal teams and UAE clients.

What You Bring

  • Strong experience in backend software development, with an emphasis on Go, Node.js, Python, or similar.
  • Experience practicing test-driven development (TDD) and writing automated tests as part of everyday engineeringwork.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, modern DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Experience designing and implementing serverless solutions (e.g., AWS Lambda) and event-based architectures.
  • Experience integrating with external APIs and CX platforms.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (SMS gateways, email providers).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
  • Ability to independently own projects from design to deployment.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with a high degree of empathy.
  • A humble, growth-oriented mindset, open to constructive feedback and continuous learning.
  • A pragmatic mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and simplicity.
  • Comfort using modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Experience with modern frontend development using React or similar frameworks is a plus.
