We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for highly accomplished creative writers, journalists, playwrights, novelists, essayists, short-fiction authors, and social media professionals with extensive published or professionally produced work.

This project-based role supports advanced AI training initiatives focused on improving narrative quality, stylistic precision, originality, and editorial judgment. Selected professionals will review and refine AI-generated writing across multiple formats, assess literary and structural quality, and provide detailed feedback grounded in substantial professional writing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Content Review

  • Review AI-generated plays, novels, short stories, articles, essays, social media posts, podcast scripts, lectures, and late-night material
  • Evaluate content for narrative quality, coherence, originality, and audience impact
  • Identify weak structure, inconsistent voice, shallow characterisation, and thematic gaps
  • Assess whether each piece suits its intended format, platform, and readership

Literary & Structural Evaluation

  • Analyse plot, pacing, dialogue, voice, character development, and thematic depth
  • Review long-form and short-form work for clarity, rhythm, and structural effectiveness
  • Evaluate transitions, narrative progression, and emotional consistency
  • Distinguish between surface-level stylistic issues and deeper creative weaknesses

Editorial Feedback & Revision

  • Provide detailed written feedback explaining strengths, weaknesses, and revision priorities
  • Rewrite or refine passages where needed to demonstrate stronger creative choices
  • Improve coherence, tone, originality, and stylistic precision
  • Develop clear editorial recommendations that support better AI-generated writing
  • Apply consistent standards across varied genres and content formats

Format-Specific Quality Review

  • Assess journalistic, literary, dramatic, essayistic, and social-media writing according to their distinct conventions
  • Review short-form platform content for voice, clarity, engagement, and audience fit
  • Evaluate spoken-word formats such as podcasts, lectures, and late-night scripts for flow and delivery
  • Ensure outputs maintain an appropriate balance between creativity, readability, and purpose

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in creative writing, journalism, playwriting, novel writing, short fiction, essays, or social media
  • A substantial body of published, staged, produced, or professionally commissioned work
  • Exceptional command of narrative structure, voice, dialogue, tone, and character development
  • Strong editorial judgment across multiple forms and genres
  • Experience critiquing, revising, or editing the work of other writers
  • Excellent written communication and close attention to stylistic detail
  • Ability to work independently within a flexible, project-based environment

Educational Background

  • A degree in creative writing, literature, journalism, communications, theatre, media, or a related discipline may be helpful
  • An MFA, MA, or comparable advanced qualification may strengthen an application
  • Equivalent professional achievement through publication, production, awards, or sustained industry experience may also be considered
  • Formal academic credentials are less important than a strong body of recognised work
