<p>A fast-growing consulting & advisory firm is seeking a Head of Tax - Client Services & Operations to join its expanding leadership team. In this highly visible role, you will lead a client-facing tax organization, overseeing tax service delivery, client operations and large-scale teams while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive operational excellence and scalability. Reporting directly into the CEO, this is a fully remote role, which can be based anywhere in the US.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Head of Tax - Client Services & Operations role</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the senior leader for the firm's client-facing tax, tax advisory and operations practice, ensuring exceptional service delivery and acting as a trusted partner to clients, advisors and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Lead the end-to-end delivery of tax preparation, tax advisory and bookkeeping services across domestic, international and third-party teams, ensuring outstanding client outcomes and a consistently high-quality service experience.</li><li>Lead, coach and develop leaders across the tax function, fostering a culture of client service excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.</li><li>Build strong relationships with clients and internal business partners, proactively resolving complex service matters and identifying opportunities to enhance the client experience and long-term client retention.</li><li>Establish and monitor KPIs, service levels and client success metrics, using data-driven insights to continually improve quality, responsiveness and overall client satisfaction.</li><li>Partner closely with Product, Client Services and executive leadership to shape service offerings, improve operational execution and ensure the business consistently exceeds client expectations.</li><li>Lead workforce planning, resource allocation and peak-season readiness, ensuring the practice is appropriately staffed to deliver exceptional client service during periods of peak demand.</li><li>Drive operational excellence through workflow optimization, automation and process improvement, enabling scalable growth while maintaining a best-in-class client experience.</li><li>Oversee relationships with external service providers and offshore teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, consistent quality and service standards that reflect the firm's commitment to client excellence.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.</li><li>Extensive leadership experience within a corporate, professional services, accounting, tax, or financial consulting environment.</li><li>Demonstrated success leading large operational teams while improving service delivery, quality, and organizational scalability.</li><li>Strong experience driving operational transformation, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Proven ability to develop performance metrics, manage KPIs, and lead high-performing teams through change.</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Experience overseeing hybrid US and offshore operations is highly desirable.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What sets this company apart:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>This well-established organization has built a strong national reputation by delivering specialized professional services to businesses and entrepreneurs across the United States.
