First American is looking to add an Associate Commercial Underwriter to our growing team. We are open to considering out of area, remote applicants.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Do: </b></p><ul><li>Serve as an underwriting resource by supporting, advising, and authorizing customer personal and customers on issues related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies</li><li>Exercise decision making authority, according to underwriting standards and guidelines, to underwrite the issuance of the title insurance</li><li>Provide guidance to company personnel in the performance of real estate settlement services </li><li>Issue underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes </li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Bring: </b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma Required, Bachelor's Degree preferred</li><li>1-4 years of experience in underwriting, title, escrow or real estate related field preferred</li><li>Must be familiar with real estate law, including federal and state regulations </li><li>Strong understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of real estate title and settlement process </li><li>Strong, customer focused negotiation skills with an emphasis on effectively communicating analytical responses</li><li>Ability to collaborate and act decisively; build relationships internally and externally </li><li>Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and timely follow up </li><li>Critical thinking and creative solutions</li></ul><p></p><p>This position is eligible for bonus pay and/or incentives for production or other goals.<i> </i>Incentives have historically been competitive for the Arizona Market.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Pay Range: $32.31 - $43.05 Hourly<p> </p>This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
