Our high retention rate is influenced by a unique compensation program for positions that are more than just jobs - they're chances to grow, do what you love and build a career with us!<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>Direct Report: </strong>Warehouse Lead, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager; District Manager<br><br><strong>Scope: </strong>Handle all aspects of warehouse operation, Including Air/Ocean Export, Gateway and Domestic shipments transport while adhering to company, branch and governmental guidelines and policies.<br><br><strong>Key Results Area #1 – Operations:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Adhere to our policies and federal regulations that are paramount to the team—Warehouse and container security policy. </li><li>Follow the Operational process Standards. Be a leader in the industry in methods and procedures with the goal of passing OPS audit while servicing the customer. </li><li>Comply with and exceed expectations for OPS, which include:</li><li>Re-weigh all freight, ensure freight is not cross-labelled, stage freight in correct locations</li><li>If freight is damaged and able to be repaired, do so as soon as possible</li><li>All received freight must be counted and reconciled to inbound documentation. </li><li>Any shipment received as OSD must have the exceptions (over, short or damaged with quantity/description) noted on the receiving documents and pictures must be taken and email to proper parties. </li><li>Dangerous Goods shipments are received and handled only by trained employees with dangerous goods. </li><li>Shipments containing Dangerous Goods meet the minimum dangerous goods receiving requirements. </li><li>Unload cargo from truck</li><li>Verify freight received against receipt documentation and/or booked information</li><li>Check cargo for OSD (overage, shortage or damaged)</li><li>Verify Truck's Wheels Are Chocked / Brakes are applied. </li><li>Use documents to identify the freight as being at the correct address. </li><li>Identify the product managing the freight and notify the local product leader when it arrives</li><li>Monitor and report Overage, short and damage freight. Communicate with proper person<br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Results Area #2 – Communication<br><br></strong><ul><li>Escalation to supervisor or manager, keep appraised of any issues that arise through weekly meetings. Or daily if needed</li><li>Meet all deadlines. Communicate any delays in meeting the deadline. </li><li>Answer telephone when needed<br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Results Area #3 – People<br><br></strong><ul><li>Problem solving and communication skills. </li><li>Open and honest, to the point, no gossip. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Results Area #4 – Customer Service:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Set the tone for delivering exceptional customer service at Expeditors. Strive to not meet the client’s expectations, but exceed them,</li><li>Be proactive toward resolving service issues. If not able to be proactive, jump in and look at the root cause, and set forth corrective actions. </li><li>Treat everyone as your customers. </li><li>Maintain an attitude of friendliness, courtesy, and efficiency in the eyes of the customer and your peers always. </li><li>Know your operation, warehouse and expectations. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Results Area #5 – Security<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensure Warehouse doors are closed and always locked</li><li>Monitor warehouse for anyone not wearing proper ID or safety vest. </li><li>Keep all drivers within the waiting area; ensure they have signed in</li><li>Check in truck: Comply with local security requirements. </li><li>US/Air Product ONLY: Freight for UNKNOWN shippers is staged in an area designated for that freight only<br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Results Area #6 – Productivity<br><br></strong><ul><li>Consistently endeavor to achieve corporate productivity goals— freight build and load on-time</li><li>Keep overtime to a minimum. All overtime should be approved, recorded, and only used as a last resort to service the customer. </li><li>Always look for ways to improve and become more efficient, whether through a better process, automation, or using best practices from other offices.
