To learn more about Productivity Engineering, feel free to listen to this podcast.<br /> <br /> The Role<br /> <br /> We're looking for a Solutions Support Engineer to help Netflix engineers build, debug, and operate applications on our Python developer platform and paved paths.<br /> <br /> This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving hard technical problems, improving developer workflows, and turning recurring issues into better tools and platform capabilities.<br /> <br /> Your day-to-day<br /> • Debug complex issues across Python applications, frameworks, dependencies, CI/CD, runtime environments, and platform integrations.<br /> • Build tooling, automation, and diagnostics that make problems easier to prevent and resolve.<br /> • Become a trusted expert on Netflix's Python platform and developer tooling.<br /> • Turn recurring developer pain points into improvements in tooling, documentation, workflows, and platform capabilities.<br /> • Partner with Python Platform and other engineering teams to solve problems that cross system boundaries.<br /> <br /> What We're Looking For<br /> • Demonstrated software engineering experience building, debugging, or operating production systems.<br /> • Proficiency in Python, with a track record of debugging and contributing to production code, libraries, or frameworks.<br /> • Understanding of Python packaging and dependency management, including tools and concepts such as pip, pyproject.toml, virtual environments, and wheels.<br /> • Experience with Python frameworks and development tooling such as FastAPI, Flask<br /> • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, MCP) to troubleshoot, automate, and accelerate engineering work.<br /> • Experience debugging unfamiliar codebases and diagnosing issues across multiple layers of a system, including dependencies, build and CI/CD systems, runtime performance, concurrency or async I/O, distributed systems, or service-to-service integrations.<br /> • Ability to read and reason about framework and library internals when application-level debugging is not sufficient.<br /> • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of ambiguous technical problems and drive them toward resolution.<br /> • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to explain technical issues to engineers with different areas of expertise.<br /> • Interest in improving developer productivity and making engineering workflows more effective at scale.<br /> <br /> Nice to Have<br /> <br /> Experience in one or more of the following:<br /> • Platform engineering, developer productivity, or internal tooling.<br /> • SRE, resilience engineering, fault injection, chaos testing, or progressive delivery.<br /> • Large-scale AWS or Kubernetes environments.<br /> • JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or debugging systems that span multiple technology stacks.<br /> <br /> Working Model<br /> This role is remote, with the option to work from our Warsaw office for in-person collaboration or onboarding as needed.
