As an unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond professionally to security-related needs while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $19.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, retail spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with directions, tenant and visitor inquiries, and other customer-service needs while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
