As a Security Officer Access Control in Champaign, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will help support a secure environment through clear communication, attention to detail, and responsive customer service. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Sun 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, maintaining access records, and directing vendors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document activities and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned production areas, offices, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Support orderly vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at entry points, including checking authorized access for employees, visitors, contractors, and commercial vehicles.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
