PURPOSE:


Provide nursing care to patients/families by utilizing the nursing process via the telephone for all patients.

$5,000 sign on bonus!


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process
  • Informs Triage Manager of case progress and reports any unusual circumstances
  • Assesses patient using exemplary communication skills via the telephone throughout phone interaction
  • Assists providers by obtaining accurate and timely information utilizing nursing knowledge and experience
  • Follows written protocols for deliverance of care
  • Provide patient education
  • Documents in electronic medical records as required
  • Maintains open and positive communication with providers and other health professionals
  • Communicates in a positive manner with patients, families/significant others
  • Exhibits excellent listening skills
  • Maintains professionalism at all times
  • Participates in continuing education programs
  • Participates in risk management and quality assurance activities
  • Adheres to all New York Spine and Wellness Center policies and procedures


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

EDUCATION:


RN degree, BSN desired. Completion of accredited state RN program. Current RN license and CPR certification required.


EXPERIENCE:


1 year experience in professional nursing desired
