Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our high-performing team of Civil Design Sales Engineers. This is a sales revenue-generating role supporting new and existing accounts with Bentley software products that help our users achieve their desired business outcomes. You will help grow the market share of assigned brands within your region.
You will play a key role in expanding the market presence of OpenRoads Designer across the US, Canada, and beyond by leading targeted sales campaigns, leveraging social media platforms like LinkedIn, sharing customer success stories, conducting discovery calls, prospecting new opportunities, coordinating product demonstrations, and more.

In this position, you'll gain valuable insights into how transportation agencies and engineering firms design, model, and deliver roadway infrastructure projects, using this knowledge to drive broader adoption of Bentley's transportation solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional with a passion for helping organizations improve project delivery through innovative digital engineering workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling Bentley's transportation design solutions, including OpenRoads Designer, to both new and existing users across the roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure markets.
  • Design and deliver Sales Campaigns and Outcome-based Live Sessions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to showcase the features and benefits of our software solutions.
  • Expertly use LinkedIn and other social media means to engage prospects.
  • Understand client needs and requirements and provide tailored software solutions that address their specific challenges.
  • Develop a sales pipeline and forecast all revenue by effectively following the sales process and managing all opportunities in our CRM as a daily sales tool and reporting system.
  • Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to gather client feedback and provide input for product enhancements and new features.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all commercial Offerings and software support policies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities and provide insights to the management team.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals consistently.
  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, home-based in the US.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
  • Ability to travel 15% or less of the year.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred minimum of four (4) years of experience within a transportation engineering organization or selling engineering software.
  • Prior experience working with OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Designer, MicroStation, GEOPAK, InRoads, Civil 3D, and/or other roadway design applications.
  • Experience with roadway design, alignments, corridors, terrain modeling, plan production, or transportation infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone and web.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into software solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, or similar CRM is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DOT workflows, digital delivery initiatives, BIM for transportation, or infrastructure project delivery is a plus.
