Inspire Creativity. Build Confidence. Make a Difference!

Do you love working with children and enjoy encouraging creativity and imagination? Are you a retired teacher, stay-at-home parent, homemaker, caregiver, or someone who simply enjoys helping children learn and grow?

We’d love to hear from you!

We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and creative individuals to join our team of Art Educators serving classrooms throughout the Cincinnati Public School District.

This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who want meaningful part-time work while making a positive impact on children. Retired teachers, homemakers, parents, caregivers, professionals with classroom experience, and individuals with a passion for working with children are strongly encouraged to apply!

You do not need to be a professional artist. We provide the curriculum, lesson plans, and training you need to be successful.

The Opportunity

As an Art Educator, you will:

  • Inspire creativity, imagination, and confidence through fun, hands-on art experiences.
  • Teach students in grades K–8 using a proven curriculum developed by experienced educators.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Lead students through engaging art activities and provide clear, age-appropriate instructions.
  • Encourage children to explore their creativity while developing new skills.
  • Use your leadership, communication, and classroom management skills to create a successful learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
  • Work independently while being part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Position Details

  • Part-time teaching schedule: Approximately Monday–Thursday, 6 hours per week, generally between 2:00 PM–5:00 PM.
  • Location: Cincinnati Public School District locations throughout the area.
  • Curriculum and lesson plans provided.
  • Paid training provided.
  • Competitive pay.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds!

This position may be a great fit for:

  • Retired teachers looking to stay connected to education without returning to a full-time classroom.
  • Homemakers and stay-at-home parents who enjoy working with children and are looking for meaningful part-time work.
  • Former educators, childcare professionals, camp counselors, coaches, or youth program leaders.
  • Professionals with classroom management, leadership, training, or mentoring experience.
  • Creative individuals who enjoy art and working with children.
  • Anyone who is dependable, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and passionate about making a difference.

Qualifications & Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • A genuine love for children and a desire to make a positive impact.
  • The ability to confidently lead and engage a classroom of students.
  • Previous classroom, childcare, youth-program, leadership, or classroom-management experience is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned school locations.
  • The ability to pass required background checks.
  • The ability to follow a structured curriculum and established teaching system.
  • Three verifiable professional references.
  • The ability to follow basic art instructions and demonstrate activities clearly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide age-appropriate instruction.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt when needed.
  • Excellent organization, dependability, and a self-starter mindset.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, encouraging, and excited about helping children discover their creativity.

Why Join Our Team?

Being an Art Educator is about more than teaching art—it's about helping children build confidence, express themselves, try new things, and discover what they can create.

You’ll have the opportunity to bring creativity and joy into the classroom while working a flexible part-time schedule with the support of a team that values education, imagination, and connection.

Whether you are a retired teacher looking for a meaningful way to continue working with children, a homemaker ready to explore a part-time opportunity, or simply someone who loves helping children learn and create, your experience and enthusiasm could make a difference!

If you are dependable, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children, we would love to have you join our team!
