We embrace self-management, transparency, collaboration, initiative, and making a difference in the world.</div><div>If using innovation to reimagine education in service of equity energizes you -- join our team!</div><div>The Calling:</div><div>The <strong>Data Services Generalist</strong> at Branching Minds is a flexible role designed to support customer data needs across the lifecycle, supporting both new customer implementations and ongoing data services. This role will flex to provide hands-on support where needed most, whether that’s managing implementations during peak onboarding seasons or supporting existing customers’ data services throughout the year. The Generalist role is pivotal in ensuring customers have a seamless, accurate, and efficient data experience that maximizes their use of the Branching Minds platform.</div><div>What You'll Do:</div><ul><li>Guide customers through the data onboarding process, including data integration and platform configuration.</li><li>Work with designated customers to understand their goals, data systems, and integration needs, translating them into BRM platform requirements.</li><li>Connect customer systems (rostering, assessments, student tracking, etc.) to the Branching Minds platform.</li><li>Create, execute, and adapt implementation plans to fit the unique needs of each customer.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with customers regarding implementation progress, data ingestion, and configurations.</li><li>Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate data issues during implementation, proactively identifying risks.</li><li>Document and track implementation processes and decisions.</li><li>Act as a liaison between district partners and internal teams, advocating for customer needs and providing feedback to improve processes.</li><li>Provide exceptional customer support via live chat, email, video calls, and phone regarding ongoing data needs.</li><li>Resolve customer data inquiries promptly and effectively, adhering to KPI targets.</li><li>Review, validate, and ingest incoming customer data files, providing targeted feedback on errors or formatting issues.</li><li>Maintain accurate customer data profiles, including their systems, file formats, and integration details.</li><li>Support Customer Success Managers in addressing ongoing customer data needs and facilitating district expansions.</li><li>Facilitate regular outreach to ensure timely data file sharing.</li><li>Execute the escalation process for data issues, coordinating across internal teams and ensuring timely customer communication.</li><li>Support customers with new integrations, changes in data-sharing, and offboarding when needed.</li><li>Act as a subject matter expert on BRM data processes, translating technical concepts for non-technical users.</li><li>Deliver ongoing data support for districts, ensuring their needs are met effectively.</li><li>Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.</li></ul><div><strong>Requirements</strong></div><div>Why We Want You:</div><ul><li>2-3 years of experience providing exceptional customer-facing data support</li><li>Effectively translate data and technology concepts to a non-technical audience</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to interpret EdTech data: rostering, demographics, assessment, and SIS data</li><li>Great at prioritizing multiple needs and organizing time to complete tasks in a timely manner</li><li>Love data tracking and maintenance</li><li>Microsoft Excel = your happy place</li><li>Have great oral, written, and interpersonal skills, providing a high level of customer service</li><li>Eager to enhance and grow your technical skill set</li><li>Passionate about improving education and committed to equity of success for all learners</li><li>Comfortable with the dynamic, fast-paced culture of a startup, and able to remain organized when faced with multiple priorities</li></ul><div>Lucky Us If You Have:</div><div><em>(No biggie if you don’t)</em></div><ul><li>Proficiency with data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting in Excel/Google Sheets</li><li>Familiarity with SQL and database querying for data validation and troubleshooting</li><li>Experience working with data integration tools, APIs, or SFTP file transfers</li><li>Ability to interpret and troubleshoot CSV/flat files, XML, and JSON
