Responsibilities

  • Efficiently pick orders using barcode scanning technology and RF scanners to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Pack products securely, utilizing proper packaging techniques to prevent damage during transit.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Load and unload shipments with attention to safety protocols, ensuring proper handling of materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems (WMS), conducting regular stock checks and updating inventory data.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and preparing outbound shipments for dispatch.
  • Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Support warehouse operations such as stocking shelves, quality control inspections, and organizing storage areas to optimize space utilization.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals while adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems enhances efficiency in order picking and stock control.
  • Knowledge of barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and safety protocols is essential.
  • Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely; basic math skills are necessary for counting and verifying quantities.
  • Previous experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership roles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is valued!
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
