Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and highly organized Veterinary Assistant to join our team at The Elite Job. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to assist veterinarians in providing excellent care for animals. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures and patient care by providing physical and emotional support to animals.

  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, answering calls, and updating patient records.

  • Provide client education on animal health, preventive care, and medication administration.

  • Ensure that all medical equipment and tools are sanitized and maintained according to health standards.

  • Monitor animal conditions and report any changes or concerns to the veterinarian.

  • Process billing and insurance claims for veterinary services.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for all animals in the care of the practice.

  • Assist with patient intake, including the collection of medical histories and vital signs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in veterinary assisting is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

  • Basic knowledge of animal health and care procedures.

  • Proficiency with veterinary software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
