Other Jobs To Apply

Summary:

This is a Full-Time (40 hours per week - no part-time availability) remote role based in the United States, with availability mandated during department core hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Time.

Are you positive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and energized by solving problems and helping others? Do you naturally notice what makes a customer experience great? If so, we invite you to join the Support Team!

At Yelp, our Support team does more than answer emails from our community of users and business owners. We're known for setting an exceptionally high bar for customer service, and we take that reputation seriously. Quality, ownership, and attention to detail are at the heart of how we work, and our team consistently strives to deliver an experience that goes beyond what's expected.

As a Support Associate, you'll help users and business owners navigate a wide range of questions and challenges via email-including account access, business page claiming, and much more. You'll build deep expertise in Yelp's products and policies, sharpen your problem-solving and communication skills, and as you grow, have opportunities to take on specialized work and become a subject matter expert.

You'll thrive here if you're positive, curious, and tenacious, and you work well with others. We're looking for someone who doesn't just check the box-you take ownership of your work, welcome feedback, look for ways to improve, and genuinely care about delivering an exceptional customer experience. You'll also be joining a supportive team that takes pride in its performance and celebrates wins together.

We'd love to have you apply, even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we're looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver exceptional email-based support to Yelp users and business owners
  • Meet quality and productivity goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Investigate challenging issues, advocate for our users, and find thoughtful solutions
  • Build deep expertise in Yelp's products, policies, and processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and the way our team works
  • Take ownership of your work and consistently look for opportunities to go above and beyond

What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least one year of work experience
  • Enthusiasm for Yelp's mission and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong self-motivation, personal accountability, and ownership of your work
  • Demonstrated ability to be a positive, dependable, and collaborative teammate
  • Openness to feedback and a desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Comfort working in a goal-driven environment where both quality and productivity matter
  • A track record of holding yourself to high standards and going beyond what's expected

What you'll get:

  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Work from home reimbursement
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Compensation range for this position is $40,000.00 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.

Closing:

At Yelp, we believe that diversity is an expression of all the unique characteristics that make us human: race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, and education - and those are just a few. We recognize that diverse backgrounds and perspectives strengthen our teams and our product. The foundation of our diversity efforts are closely tied to our core values, which include "Playing Well With Others" and "Authenticity."

We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or family status, veteran status, medical condition or disability.

Actual salary offered may vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, an individual's location and experience.

We will consider for employment qualified candidates with arrest and conviction records, consistent with applicable law (including, for example, the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance for roles based in San Francisco, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for roles based in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, and the California Fair Chance Act for roles based in California).

Where required by law, a criminal background check will not be conducted until after a conditional offer of employment is made, and any evaluation of a candidate's criminal background check will be subject to an individualized assessment that takes into account the candidate's specific criminal records and the responsibilities and requirements of the particular role.

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities in our job application process. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, you may contact us at accommodations-recruiting@yelp.com or 415-969-8488.

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
