About the position

We're looking for a Senior TikTok Shop Strategist to join our growing team. In this role you'll be exposed to all facets of the business and encouraged to develop skills both within and beyond your remit, working alongside passionate, high-performing colleagues. You'll own the 12-month strategic roadmap for each TikTok Shop client — from catalog audit and Hero Product selection through launch readiness, quarterly reviews, and scale planning. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with clarity and confidence, and applies data-driven decision-making. As a player-coach, you'll both make the calls and do the work — delegating to specialist teams when that moves faster, and rolling up your sleeves when it doesn't.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned accounts. Act as the dedicated strategist for each TikTok Shop client, owning the 12-month roadmap and partnering closely with the Account Manager and specialist teams to drive client success.
  • Run brand discovery and catalog audits. Pull the full catalog across TikTok, Amazon, and DTC, and determine which products actually work on the channel.
  • Select Hero Products. Score every product against margin economics, content demoability, inventory depth, affiliate commission capacity, compliance risk, cross-channel demand, and channel fit, then select the one to three products that will drive the engine.
  • Prepare listings for launch. Optimize titles, descriptions, attributes, and images for TikTok search; confirm variation architecture, bundle strategy, pricing, and parity; and audit compliance and shop health.
  • Build and defend the strategy. Develop the 12-month plan with quarterly milestones, own the 90-day scale-gate review, and make the case for expansion or optimization based on data.
  • Optimize performance. Track performance across GMV, ROAS, contribution margin, AOV, and creator efficiency; identify optimization opportunities; and provide ongoing strategic recommendations.
  • Partner cross-functionally. Brief the Sampling and Affiliate teams on creator strategy and product priorities, support creator seeding and affiliate launch, and keep the Account Manager equipped for client reporting.
  • Lead client moments. Run kickoff calls and quarterly business reviews, present the 90-day review, and keep every decision documented and defensible.
  • Surface insights. Capture product and client feedback from your account work and surface it to internal teams, helping shape Quartile's TikTok Shop managed-service model.
  • Play both roles. Make the strategic calls and own the outcomes, delegating tasks to specialists when that moves faster and executing them yourself when it does not.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce strategy, channel operations, or growth strategy
  • Direct, hands-on experience with TikTok Shop, social commerce, or creator-led marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to audit product catalogs and make go/no-go decisions against profitability criteria
  • Experience with product listing optimization, SEO/keyword strategy, or pricing analysis
  • Comfort analyzing financial data — margins, commission structures, contribution margin, and ROAS
  • 2+ years in a client-facing role, preferably managing small and medium-sized brands
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in affiliate marketing or creator economics
  • Experience managing other marketplaces or channels (Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, Target) is a plus
  • Familiarity with advertising platforms (TikTok Ads Manager, Amazon Advertising, Google, Meta)
  • Experience with consumer brands, CPG, beauty, or DTC products
  • Exposure to SQL, data-analytics tools, or business intelligence platforms
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn and experiment in a rapidly changing industry
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Insurance Coverage
  • 401K Plan with Employer Match
  • Generous Paid Time Off (24 Vacation days, 7 Sick days, 12 Company Holidays, Summer Fridays)
  • Company Laptop + additional tech accessories

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
