About the position

Roku’s Ads Product team develops advertising solutions across the Roku TV experience, The Roku Channel, Roku devices, and off-platform environments. The Senior Product Manager will own products for brand outcomes across Roku’s in-stream video and native advertising, enabling advertisers to optimize campaigns toward unique reach, awareness, recall, consideration, and brand lift—and to verify results through holdouts and third-party measurement. The role includes defining cross-surface campaign planning, pacing, frequency capping, deduplicated reach, shared creative, and reporting. The product manager will work with data science and engineering to build optimization models for incremental reach, predicted lift, relevance, and frequency, and incorporate these into delivery, creative selection, pacing, and bidding. The role also involves designing brand-lift polls and holdout experiments, evaluating whether native engagement can provide earlier signals, and connecting Roku data with third-party measurement partners, panel-based currency, and marketing mix models. The successful candidate will collaborate with the performance video product team to connect brand exposure with later conversions and inform budget decisions between brand and performance campaigns. They will work across engineering, data science, sales, research, and operations, while considering effects on inventory, pricing, buying methods, and the viewer experience. Roku generally works in-office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays generally flexible for remote work; some roles or office locations may require five days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for products that let advertisers buy impressions across in-stream video and native advertising and optimize toward unique reach, awareness, recall, consideration, and brand lift.
  • Define metrics connecting impressions to outcomes, including cost per incremental reach and lift per dollar.
  • Define how cross-surface campaigns plan, pace, and cap frequency across video and native, including deduplicated reach, shared creative, and unified advertiser reporting.
  • Partner with data science and engineering to define models for incremental reach, predicted lift, relevance, and frequency, and integrate them into delivery, pacing, creative selection, and bidding.
  • Test whether native engagement signals provide an earlier read on lift and improve optimization models.
  • Build holdouts and brand-lift polls into campaigns by default, including experimental design and sample sizing.
  • Own how Roku data works with third-party measurement partners, panel-based currency, and marketing mix models so advertisers can evaluate results using their own tools.
  • Work with the performance video product team to show how brand exposure affects later conversions and enable budgets to move between brand and performance based on results.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, sales, research, and operations, and make products clear enough for sales teams and advertisers to explain.
  • Assess the effects of products on video and native inventory, pricing, direct and programmatic buying, and the viewer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including experience with complex or platform-scale products.
  • Experience with brand or upper-funnel measurement, such as brand lift, reach and frequency, incrementality testing, marketing mix modeling, or attention metrics; ability to read a lift study and question its sample size.
  • Experience building advertising products that combine targeting, measurement, and optimization, and a working understanding of how machine-learning models are trained and evaluated.
  • Experience with advertising products on more than one surface or format, such as video, native, display, or feeds.
  • Background in digital advertising, media, marketplaces, or data platforms.
  • Record of shipping products in ambiguous areas and demonstrating results with numbers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Connected TV or premium video experience.
  • Familiarity with third-party measurement partners and how agencies evaluate brand campaigns.

Benefits

  • Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision options, subject to location and role availability.
  • Equity awards.
  • Life insurance.
  • Disability benefits.
  • Parental leave.
  • Wellness benefits, including access to mental health and financial wellness support and resources.
  • Paid time off in accordance with local leave policies.
  • Commuter benefits may be available, depending on location and role.
  • Retirement options, including 401(k) or pension, depending on location and role.

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
