About the position

The Senior Manager, Evidence & Insights provides strategic and scientific support across real-world evidence (RWE), health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and evidence generation. The role co-leads client engagements from end to end, helping shape evidence strategies, oversee analytics and deliverables, and advise biopharma and related stakeholders. This is a hybrid role based in any of the company’s US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, or San Francisco—or remote within the US, depending on team and business needs. Real Chemistry’s work-arrangement guidance requires employees located within a one-hour commute of an office to attend in person two days per week; employees in areas without a nearby office may work remotely and gather throughout the year for collaboration and team activities. Specific expectations may vary by role and location.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead and support RWE and HEOR strategy across client programs, including evidence planning, study design, and interpretation of findings to inform value, access, and payer and health system decision-making.
  • Design and support evidence generation plans, such as RWE studies, retrospective database studies, and economic models, aligned with product lifecycle needs and client requirements.
  • Develop and oversee systematic literature review (SLR) processes, including protocols, study searches, screening delegation, data extraction, and reporting, leveraging the Nested Knowledge platform where possible.
  • Translate complex real-world datasets and outcomes evidence into clear, defensible client insights and recommendations on clinical, economic, and utilization outcomes.
  • Serve as a client co-lead alongside a Director and VP, building trusted relationships, guiding strategic direction, and ensuring work products meet scientific rigor, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Manage staff planning, internal and external project timelines and communications, and budgets to ensure projects are adequately staffed, managed, and executed.
  • Stay current on evidence standards and trends affecting access decisions, including HTA requirements and value frameworks, payer evidence expectations and comparative effectiveness, RWE guidance and regulatory considerations, and measurement and reporting of quality, performance, and outcomes.
  • Co-lead engagement scoping and resourcing by defining scope of work, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans, and proactively managing risks and changes.
  • Partner cross-functionally to connect evidence strategy to broader client objectives and account growth.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in HEOR, RWE, SLR, epidemiology, outcomes research, market access strategy, or closely related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HEOR/RWE study design and execution and the ability to translate evidence into access-relevant strategy.
  • Strong project or program leadership experience, including managing teams on complex, multi-workstream engagements and ensuring scientific and editorial quality.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and executive communication skills, including the ability to craft clear narratives from technical analyses.
  • Strong analytical fluency and comfort engaging with complex datasets and statistical outputs.
  • Client-service orientation, sound judgment, high attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Adaptability, resilience, initiative, resourcefulness, strong prioritization, and a willingness to adjust responsibilities and focus as the organization evolves.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, able to work independently and under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree strongly preferred (MPH, PhD, PharmD, MD, MS, or equivalent) in health economics, epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, health services research, or a related discipline.
  • Consulting and/or biopharma experience preferred.
  • Hands-on analytics experience is highly valued.
  • Experience with the Nested Knowledge platform, where applicable.

Benefits

  • Generous holiday and paid time off.
  • Options for private medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Support in saving for the future.
  • Mental wellness coaching and support.
  • Access to more than 13,000 online classes through LinkedIn Learning.
  • Free office snacks in key markets.
  • Comprehensive benefits and perks tailored to the employee’s region.

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
