Senior Inside Sales Representative – ITAD & IT Asset Acquisition (Remote)

IMPORTANT – REQUIRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of direct sales or business development experience within the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), electronics recycling, or enterprise IT asset recovery industry. Five or more years is strongly preferred.

Candidates must have proven experience identifying, prospecting, and securing retired enterprise IT equipment from corporate IT departments, data centers, MSPs, ITAD providers, or similar organizations.

We are specifically looking for someone who has personally generated new equipment acquisition opportunities, established supplier relationships, and successfully closed IT asset recovery or buyback transactions.

Experience in general sales, retail sales, or IT hardware resale alone, without direct ITAD or equipment acquisition experience, does not meet the minimum qualifications.

Company: Computer Supply USA
Location: Remote – Anywhere in the United States
Employment Type: Full-Time

About Computer Supply USA

Computer Supply USA is an established enterprise IT hardware company specializing in the acquisition, resale, and remarketing of servers, enterprise storage, hard drives, solid-state drives, memory, and other data center equipment.

We work with businesses, IT service providers, hardware suppliers, and technology organizations throughout the United States.

As we continue expanding our nationwide equipment sourcing and asset recovery operations, we are looking for an experienced ITAD sales professional who can help us establish new relationships and develop consistent sources of enterprise IT equipment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for someone who knows where retired IT equipment comes from, knows who controls it, and knows how to secure it.

This is not a traditional inside sales position focused solely on selling products from an existing inventory.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and secure new sources of enterprise IT equipment through corporate IT asset disposition, data center decommissioning, technology refreshes, ITAD partnerships, and equipment buyback opportunities.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in inside sales or business development at an ITAD, IT asset recovery, electronics recycling, or enterprise hardware remarketing company.

The ideal candidate already understands the industry, has experience building relationships with organizations retiring IT assets, and knows how to convert those relationships into ongoing business.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Acquisition & Business Development

  • Identify and secure new sources of enterprise IT equipment, including servers, HDDs, SSDs, memory, networking equipment, and other data center hardware.
  • Prospect corporate IT departments, data centers, MSPs, ITAD companies, electronics recyclers, managed service providers, and enterprise organizations.
  • Develop relationships with IT directors, infrastructure managers, procurement teams, data center operators, and asset disposition decision-makers.
  • Generate equipment buyback opportunities, technology refresh projects, data center decommissioning opportunities, and recurring IT asset recovery programs.
  • Negotiate equipment acquisition opportunities, develop purchasing relationships, and help secure profitable inventory.
  • Build long-term supplier relationships that consistently generate equipment acquisition opportunities.

IT Asset Disposition & Certified Processing Opportunities

  • Identify organizations requiring secure, responsible disposition of retired IT equipment.
  • Leverage access to R2v3-certified processing services through our certified processing partners to develop asset recovery and ITAD opportunities.
  • Confidently discuss data destruction, asset tracking, chain of custody, responsible recycling, and equipment value recovery with prospective customers.
  • Develop opportunities involving both equipment acquisition and certified IT asset processing.
  • Coordinate with certified processing and operations teams to support customer requirements.
  • Build relationships with organizations seeking reliable solutions for retiring IT equipment while recovering maximum residual value.

Sales & Account Management

  • Conduct proactive outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, industry contacts, and referrals.
  • Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through pricing, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified equipment acquisition and ITAD opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our purchasing and operations teams to evaluate inventory and structure competitive offers.
  • Track sales activity, customer communications, and opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Consistently meet equipment acquisition, new account development, and profitability objectives.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have direct experience in the ITAD or enterprise IT asset recovery industry.

  • Minimum 3 years of inside sales, business development, or account acquisition experience at an ITAD, IT asset recovery, electronics recycling, or enterprise IT hardware remarketing company.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrable experience developing new business relationships and generating opportunities.
  • Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close transactions involving retired or surplus enterprise IT equipment.
  • Strong understanding of the IT equipment lifecycle, asset disposition process, and secondary hardware market.
  • Experience working with organizations that regularly retire, replace, or dispose of IT equipment.
  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong outbound prospecting ability and confidence speaking with corporate decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Established relationships with corporate IT departments, data centers, MSPs, ITAD providers, or electronics recycling companies.
  • Experience originating IT asset recovery projects or securing recurring equipment supply.
  • Familiarity with R2v3 certification, certified data destruction, and responsible IT asset processing.
  • Understanding of enterprise servers, storage systems, SAS/SATA/NVMe SSDs, HDDs, and server memory.
  • Experience negotiating IT equipment buyback agreements, liquidation opportunities, or asset recovery programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate profitable transactions and grow long-term supplier accounts.
  • Experience with multi-location enterprise IT asset recovery or large-scale decommissioning projects.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped performance-based commission.
  • Fully remote position anywhere in the United States.
  • Opportunity to work directly with company leadership.
  • Access to an established enterprise hardware purchasing and resale operation.
  • Support from purchasing, logistics, and operations teams.
  • The opportunity to build a nationwide network of ITAD and enterprise asset acquisition relationships.
  • Significant growth potential for someone who consistently delivers profitable business.

Who We're Looking For

We want a motivated, experienced industry professional who knows how to open doors, build relationships, and create new equipment sourcing opportunities.

Someone who understands that an enterprise hardware refresh, data center shutdown, or corporate IT disposition project can become a valuable long-term business relationship.

If you've spent years in the ITAD industry and know how to generate equipment acquisition opportunities, we'd like to speak with you.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume with a brief summary of your relevant industry experience.

We are particularly interested in understanding:

  • Which ITAD or enterprise IT asset recovery companies you have previously worked for.
  • Your experience securing retired or surplus enterprise IT equipment.
  • The types of organizations you have successfully developed as customers or suppliers.
  • Your track record in generating new accounts, acquisition opportunities, or recurring equipment supply.

Important: This position requires prior industry experience. Applicants whose backgrounds consist exclusively of general retail sales, unrelated B2B sales, or warehouse operations will not meet the minimum qualifications.
