Remote Business Development Representative (BDR)

Your Career in Tech Sales Starts Here

Are you a strong communicator, naturally curious, and motivated to build a career where your effort and results matter?

You don't need years of sales experience to get started. We're looking for people with drive, curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to learn.

At Quorum, you'll have the opportunity to develop valuable business-to-business (B2B) sales skills, connect with professionals at some of the world's most influential organizations, and gain experience in the growing software industry.

If you're a recent graduate, early in your career, or looking to transition into technology sales, we want to hear from you.

Why Quorum?

Quorum is a global software company that helps organizations understand and engage with the world of government and public policy.

Our technology is trusted by more than 2,000 customers across 30+ countries, including over half of the Fortune 100.

As a Business Development Representative, you'll be part of the team that introduces new customers to Quorum and helps drive our growth.

Here's what makes this opportunity different:

- Build a foundation in tech sales. Develop skills in prospecting, business communication, relationship building, and consultative selling.

- Gain enterprise experience. Connect with professionals at major corporations, associations, nonprofits, and other influential organizations.

- Work remotely. Enjoy the flexibility of a remote role while collaborating with a team of sales professionals.

- Use modern technology. Gain hands-on experience with Salesforce, sales technology, and AI-enabled tools. - Invest in your development. QAccess LinkedIn Learning, quarterly professional development days, and opportunities to learn from teammates. - **Earn beyond your base salary.** Receive performance-based commission with no cap on earnings.

What You'll Do

You'll help introduce prospective customers to Quorum and create opportunities for our sales team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Researching companies and identifying professionals who could benefit from Quorum's software. - Reaching out to prospective customers through phone calls, email, and other sales channels. - Starting conversations, asking thoughtful questions, and learning about customer needs. - Scheduling qualified meetings for our sales team. - Learning to use Salesforce, sales tools, and AI-enabled technology to work efficiently. - Collaborating with teammates to improve outreach strategies and achieve monthly goals.

An important part of this role is outbound prospecting, including cold calling. You'll need to be comfortable initiating conversations, hearing "no," and continuing to improve. Persistence and consistency are essential to success.

Who We're Looking For

We're more interested in your potential than a perfect résumé.

You may be a great fit if you:

- Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing. - Enjoy meeting people and starting conversations. - Are motivated by goals and enjoy seeing the results of your work. - Are coachable, curious, and open to feedback. - Can stay organized and manage competing priorities. - Are resilient and willing to learn from setbacks. - Have an interest in business, technology, sales, or public affairs.

**Experience that could help, but isn't required:**

- Customer service, retail, hospitality, fundraising, or other customer-facing work. - Internships, campus leadership, student organizations, or extracurricular activities. - Previous sales, outreach, or business development experience. - Familiarity with CRM software or sales technology.

You do not need a specific college degree or previous SaaS sales experience to apply.** We recognize that strong sales talent comes from many different backgrounds.

Our benefits include:

- Remote work flexibility - Flexible paid time off and company holidays - Medical, dental, and vision insurance options - 401(k) matching - Work-from-home reimbursement - LinkedIn Learning subscription - Quarterly professional development days - 12 weeks of paid parental leave - Virtual and in-person team events

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
