Job Description


Are you looking for an opportunity within a well established People team? Keen to make an impact in colleague journeys and end to end lifecycles.

The People team are seeking an organised and efficient People Services Assistant to join our team in Eagle Court, Sheldon, Birmingham. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week in our offices just ten minutes from Birmingham Airport and 2 days remotely.

As a key member of our People Services department, you will provide vital administrative support to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery to our employees.

  • To deliver an efficient, compliant and exceptional service to minimum SLAs.
  • Provide first line ER Advice to our employees
  • Manage the People Services Team email and ensure all employee queries are handled in a consistent, confidential and timely manner
  • Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, addendum to contracts and employment references
  • Maintain and update employment records on our ResourceLink system
  • Process monthly changes to feed into payroll
  • Collaborate with the People Partnering Team to understand local business needs and how we can support
  • Promote a self-serve culture with our customers
  • Participation in HR roadshows, showcasing the services we offer to our customers and how they can contact us
  • Supporting with wider People projects and initiative

Qualifications

In addition you will ideally have:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills are essential
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and/or Jira is highly desirable
  • Experience with providing first line ER Advice on matters such as Performance & AWOL
  • An understanding of HR practice, employment law and legislation would be an advantage
  • Experience of HR information systems, e-forms and workflow processes, or equivalent systems.
  • Gravitas and excellent people skills and the proven acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities
  • Experience dealing with highly confidential information
  • Curious mindset with a drive to optimise processes and identify efficiencies
