If you enjoy people and plants, then we have the job for you. Fast-paced, quick learning and outgoing multi-taskers are needed. We're looking for motivated people to assist customers with purchases and care for high-quality inventory.

Seeking Individuals with knowledge and passion for:

  • Tree and Shrub Sales.
  • Flower sales.

Our candidates must be able to engage customers in a fun, friendly, and professional environment. Must be a strong team player with the ability to take direction, prioritize work efficiently, and have keen attention to detail. New hires must show an interest and ability to learn the aspects of our Garden Center operations and familiarity with our product line.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with plant purchases, and pest and disease control.
  • Identify plant samples accurately.
  • Operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Restock and maintain the sales area.
  • Cleaning and pricing of plant material and other merchandise.
  • Carry out service and loading vehicles.
  • General labor and custodial chores.
  • Assist in other departments as workflow requires.
  • Any additional tasks or assignments as requested.

Skills Required:

  • Professional appearance and customer service skills.
  • Use basic mathematics.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications, e.g. Windows operating system.
  • Use point-of-sale system and electronic scanners.
  • Above-average knowledge of identification and care for trees and shrubs.
  • Take pride in a quality work environment.
  • Learn by Doing.

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge/experience with point-of-sale systems. (Windows-based).
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and be on your feet for a full shift.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work WEEKENDS.
