Salary Range: $23.03 - $31.16/hr

How you'll make an impact in this role

Accurately abstract patient records to assign correct ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring proper APC or DRG groupings.

Strictly adhere to official coding guidelines, reimbursement requirements, and the AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding.

Conduct regular chart audits and proactively query physicians to clarify ambiguous, incomplete, or unclear documentation.

Maintain established productivity and quality rates while staying up to date on evolving coding policies and regulations.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Preferred Credentials:

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Reg Health Info Admnstr credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentialed from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional requirements you'll need

40 hours a week | M-F | Hours between 6 AM - 6 PM Central Time Zone | No weekends or major holidays
