You will be responsible for architecting, composing, and maintaining highly complex software stacks for our cloud gaming service, and will have the chance to work on exciting projects that will challenge your skills and help you grow as a professional. Job Overview In this role, you will be part of a team that is responsible for driving the development and scaling of our cloud gaming service. You will be working on highly complex software stacks, including hardware-accelerated video/sound/data processing, media encoding/transcoding, and network transport algorithms. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing both local system performance and overall system performance, including efficient and effective use of web networking. As a specialist in cloud gaming technology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to business problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be expected to be a quick learner, enthusiastic about learning new technologies, and passionate about programming craftsmanship. You will thrive in a climate with lots of setting and minimal direction, and will enjoy working collaboratively with engineers across functional groups. Key Responsibilities • Architect, compose, and maintain highly complex software stacks for our cloud gaming service • Optimize local system performance and overall system performance, including efficient and effective use of web networking • Deliver high-quality solutions to business problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Collaborate with engineers across functional groups to drive the development and scaling of our cloud gaming service • Take full ownership of projects from conception to production, and be responsible for the outcome of the business Essential Qualifications • Experience creating and optimizing high-performance, real-time applications like games or simulations • Solid C or C++ coding skills • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and environments • Passion for programming craftsmanship and pride in your work • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers across functional groups Preferred Qualifications • Experience writing SDKs • Experience with delivering APIs (e.g. Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL) • Coding skills in multiple languages (e.g. Go, Python, Rust) • Experience with game development • Experience analyzing and accelerating graphics workloads • Experience working with the Unity or Unreal game engines • Experience with automating functional and performance testing Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At Workwarp and Netflix, we are committed to providing our employees with the opportunity to grow and develop their skills and careers.
