About the position

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Account Manager, Omnichannel & Marketplaces to drive profitable growth across major eCommerce, marketplace, and omnichannel retail accounts. This role requires hands-on experience managing marketplace businesses, including direct experience with Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central. The position will manage and grow key accounts including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Wayfair, and Overstock/Bed Bath & Beyond, with a primary focus on our Utility Bedding business. The ideal candidate combines strong account management and retailer relationship skills with hands-on marketplace expertise, including assortment, pricing, promotions, digital shelf performance, retail media/advertising, forecasting, inventory, profitability, and conversion. This is a sales and account management role with direct ownership of eCommerce and marketplace performance, not solely a digital marketing or content role. We are looking for someone who has directly managed eCommerce or marketplace accounts and has been accountable for revenue growth, profitability, and overall account performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage assigned marketplace and omnichannel accounts to drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Manage and grow business across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Wayfair, Overstock/Bed Bath & Beyond, and other assigned eCommerce channels.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies across assortment, pricing, promotions, advertising, inventory, and digital merchandising.
  • Build strong relationships with retail buyers, merchants, category managers, and marketplace partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, improve performance, and increase market share.
  • Manage key aspects of the Amazon business using Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, including sales performance, assortment, inventory availability, pricing, promotions, content, and profitability.
  • Monitor and improve marketplace KPIs, including traffic, conversion, buy box performance, content health, advertising effectiveness, inventory availability, and sales.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, conversion, ranking, and overall marketplace performance.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing on Amazon and marketplace advertising strategies, including evaluation of ROAS and overall advertising effectiveness.
  • Support the launch of new products, marketplace programs, and additional eCommerce channels.
  • Develop annual account plans and growth strategies.
  • Own sales forecasts and monitor account performance against revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Analyze customer, category, competitive, and marketplace trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Present assortment recommendations, promotional plans, new product opportunities, and business reviews to retail partners.
  • Develop strategies to grow existing accounts and successfully launch new marketplace relationships.
  • Develop product assortment strategies aligned with retailer and marketplace opportunities.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Planning on pricing, promotional strategies, and new product launches.
  • Manage promotional calendars, seasonal events, marketplace events, and retailer-specific programs.
  • Monitor competitive pricing, assortment, promotions, and marketplace positioning.
  • Track sales, profitability, inventory, forecasting, advertising performance, and marketplace KPIs.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Planning to maintain appropriate inventory availability and support promotional demand.
  • Identify inventory, forecasting, or availability issues that could impact marketplace sales.
  • Prepare and present account performance, opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Partner closely with Digital Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service.
  • Coordinate product content and digital shelf optimization with internal teams.
  • Support DTC and broader omnichannel initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of eCommerce, marketplace, omnichannel account management, or digital retail sales experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing Amazon Seller Central and/or Amazon Vendor Central.
  • Experience directly managing marketplace or eCommerce accounts such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Wayfair, Overstock/Bed Bath & Beyond, or similar major retail platforms.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for sales growth, revenue performance, and account profitability, rather than solely content, marketing, or marketplace administration.
  • Experience managing marketplace performance metrics including sales, traffic, conversion, buy box, inventory, digital shelf/content health, pricing, and advertising performance.
  • Experience with product assortment, pricing, promotions, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate marketplace and sales data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Strong retailer/customer relationship, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing Amazon plus at least one other major eCommerce/omnichannel retailer, such as Walmart, Target, Wayfair, or Overstock/Bed Bath & Beyond.
  • Experience in bedding, home textiles, home furnishings, consumer products, or other branded/manufactured consumer goods.
  • Experience with Amazon advertising and/or other retail media platforms.
  • Experience with Syndigo, PIM systems, DAM platforms, or other digital content tools.
  • Experience launching new marketplace accounts, products, or eCommerce channels.
  • Experience developing joint business plans and long-term customer growth strategies.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching contributions.
  • Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options.
  • Generous paid time off, accruing at a rate equivalent to three weeks of PTO during your first year.
  • Nine paid holidays annually, plus a floating holiday.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness support resources.
  • Employee discounts, recognition programs, and voluntary benefits including pet insurance, legal assistance, and identity protection.

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
