Job Summary

Progressive Technology is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry professional to join our remote team, supporting accounting firms with accurate and timely data management. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are efficient, disciplined, and interested in working in the accounting and finance domain from the comfort of their home.

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for entering, updating, and verifying financial data used in tax preparation, audits, bookkeeping, and client reporting. Your attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately will directly impact our clients financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input and update client financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.

  • Review financial documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements) for accuracy before entry.

  • Maintain electronic filing systems of financial records.

  • Ensure data integrity and perform regular backups.

  • Communicate with internal teams or clients to clarify missing or unclear information.

  • Generate basic reports as requested by supervisors or accounting professionals.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial data.

  • Collaborate with accounting professionals to support accurate monthly and year-end reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred).

  • Strong typing speed with high accuracy (minimum 40 WPM preferred).

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books (preferred).

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in a finance or accounting setting.

  • Freshers with strong numerical aptitude and interest in accounting will also be considered.

Working Hours
