The Business Development Sales Professional is responsible for new account development in existing or new markets. Typically, does not have a base business where they are responsible for the retention or expansion of business at existing customers<br><br><strong>General Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Responsible for new account development within an established geographic territory/product line.</li><li> Connect, contact, and engage new potential clients and prospects.</li><li> Develop a strong and consistent pipeline of new business.</li><li> Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services</li><li> Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers</li><li> Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience / Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience</li><li> Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands</li><li> Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation</li><li> Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results</li><li> Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity</li><li> Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards</li><li> Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)</li><li> Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers</li><li>Business Development & Account Growth</li><li>Build and execute strategic account plans targeting major defense primes, Tier-1 suppliers, system integrators, and emerging aerospace companies.</li><li>Lead customer acquisition efforts and drive market penetration into new applications, programs, and platforms.</li><li>Generate new opportunities for BLDC motors, voice coil actuators, precision motion control systems, sensors, and customized electromechanical solutions.</li><li>Establish and grow executive and engineering relationships with key customers to influence early design-in decisions and secure long-term sourcing opportunities.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Strategic Sales Leadership<br><br></strong><ul><li>Own the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract award and production ramp.</li><li>Drive priority pursuits from qualification through close by aligning customer requirements with differentiated motion control and electromechanical solutions.</li><li>Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and business case development.</li><li>Partner with engineering, product management, and operations teams to capture strategic opportunities and support multi-year program pursuits.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Customer & Market Intelligence<br><br></strong><ul><li>Monitor Aerospace & Defense market trends, emerging technologies, competitor activity, and government funding initiatives.</li><li>Identify growth opportunities across UAVs, missile systems, ground vehicles, advanced air mobility, space, and next-generation aerospace platforms.</li><li>Translate customer needs and market insights into demand for next-generation architectures, helping shape product roadmaps and solution positioning.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to travel roughly 50%<br><br></li></ul>This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
