You work one-on-one with children at home, at school, and in the community, delivering kid-centered ABA therapy through games, play, and everyday routines. You follow the treatment plan your BCBA designed, collect data in real time on ABA Matrix, and write a clear session note before you head to your next family. Because we build your caseload around your availability and your neighborhood, your schedule works for you.<br><br>You are never on your own. Your BCBA visits your sessions every month to coach you in the moment, answer your questions, and celebrate the wins with you. Each day brings new challenges and new breakthroughs, like a first word, a calm transition, or a caregiver who thanks you by name, and you find real fulfillment in knowing your work changes a child’s life.<br><br>What Would You Be Doing?<br><br><ul><li>Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).</li><li>Teaches communication, social, play, and daily living skills through play-based and naturalistic ABA.</li><li>Collects accurate data in real time and completes session notes in ABA Matrix within 24 hours.</li><li>Responds to challenging behavior using the strategies in the behavior plan.</li><li>Checks in and out of every session at the point of care.</li><li>Communicates professionally with caregivers, BCBAs, and the treatment team.</li><li>Participates in monthly supervision and ongoing training.</li><li>Maintains client confidentiality and follows D & M policies and the RBT Ethics Code.<br><br></li></ul>What Do You Bring to the Role?<br><br><ul><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Certification: Willingness to complete the 40-hour RBT training and certify within 180 days of hire.</li><li>Transportation: Valid Florida driver license, reliable car, and auto insurance.</li><li>Technology: A tablet or laptop for session notes.</li><li>Background: Ability to pass a Florida Level 2 background screening.</li><li>Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with kids and families.</li><li>Positive Attitude: Patience, reliability, and strong communication with families and teammates.<br><br></li></ul>Experience with children with autism is a plus, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. If so, you might just be perfect for this position in ABA therapy!<br><br>RBT Success Profile<br><br><ul><li>Functional and Technical ABA Skills: Baseline mastery of discrete trial training, prompt fading, reinforcement, and data collection.</li><li>Ethics and Integrity: Upholding client rights, confidentiality, and the BACB Ethics Code.</li><li>Seeking Help and Receiving Feedback: Recognizing your limits, asking your supervisor for guidance early, and accepting feedback constructively.</li><li>Dealing Behaviorally with Stress: Identifying personal stressors and using self-management to maintain your stamina.</li><li>Composure: Staying calm and objective during challenging behavior or crisis situations.</li><li>Business Etiquette and Professionalism: Punctuality, professional appearance, and proper communication in homes and schools.</li><li>Approachability and Listening: Putting clients, caregivers, and colleagues at ease while actively hearing their concerns.</li><li>Customer Focus and Caregiver Rapport: Communicating with parents with empathy and without overwhelming technical jargon.</li><li>Patience: Keeping the right pace during slow skill acquisition and staying tolerant under pressure.</li><li>Time Management and Preparedness: Organizing session materials in advance and managing session time efficiently.</li><li>Think Function: Viewing client and caregiver behavior through an environmental, function-based lens.</li><li>Becoming a Trusted Professional: Showing reliability, consistency, and follow-through to build trust with families and your team.</li><li>Learning on the Fly and Adaptability: Quickly learning new client protocols and adjusting when session dynamics change.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong>This role involves working in homes, schools, and community settings, occasionally lifting or moving up to 30 lbs., sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and engaging in active play for extended periods.
